Daniel Tours Devon and Cornwall
I recently had the opportunity to travel around some of the most beautiful parts of the U.K by touring Devon and Cornwall.
The propose of my trip was to promote and sell our Cityscapes designs and our new Large canvas tote bags with Devon and Cornwall artwork created by our M.D and designer, Julia Gash.
Some of the highlights from my trip included :-
Visiting Darts Farm in Topsham – an incredible farm shop (recently voted 'Best Farm Shop in the UK'). To call this just a farm shop is selling them short. They sell a massive selection of locally sourced, organic food which ties in with our ethical policies at Made by Talented. They also have whole departments dedicated to home and gifts, beauty and outdoor ware
I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Devon area but don’t expect to leave without buying something! Especially one of our Devon bags!
Ness Gifts in Shaldon was another highlight – a very cute shop overlooking the Teign estuary and boasts with stunning waterside views.
They are also currently selling our Devon bags!
I then drove down to Salcombe to see Amelia’s Attic – a fabulously girly shop (lots of pink) located right in the centre of this beautiful coastal town.
It was wonderful to meet Cheska (of Made In Chelsea fame) who now runs the shop with her mother, Karen. We had a great chat about how amazing Salcombe is – and the fabulous features we could use on a bespoke Salcombe design.
I then travelled to Cornwall and after a much needed rest in Newquay, where I got to stay in a room with a sea view, I headed to Lappa Valley Steam Railway. A tourist attraction located just outside of Newquay. A great place to take your kids where they get to ride on old fashioned steam trains and canoe in the lake. They are currently stocking a bespoke Lappa Valley Mini bag which is loved by their mini visitors!
I then drove to St. Ives and experienced some of the most narrow roads ever! Some of these roads were literally too narrow to drive on. I was very happy to arrive at Ebb and Flow in their beach front store. They have placed an order for our Cornwall bags and are considering a St Ives bespoke design.
The weather in St Ives was amazing – people were paddling in the sea, in April!
I also got to visit Mousehole, a tiny fishing village at the bottom of Corwall, where I visited The Mousehole, a lovely gift shop right by the sea.
I had a very enjoyable few days on my tour and am looking forward to returning in June as there were are many places I didn’t have time to visit.
If you would like to book a meeting for me to visit you in June or want to place an order for our Devon or Cornwall bags, please contact me on email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0114 299 1481.
